Job summary

EW Facility Services is seeking a Hands-On Housekeeping Supervisor for The Lancaster in Amsterdam. You will lead the housekeeping team, ensure rooms meet our quality standards, and assist with cleaning when needed. The role supports a positive guest experience through strong teamwork and hands-on supervision.

The position is 30–35 hours per week, with shifts likely between 11:00 and 19:00, including weekends. A proactive, flexible approach and fluent English are essential.

• Experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• Ability to organise daily work and maintain high cleaning standards.
• Confident guiding colleagues and communicating with the hotel.
• Hands-on, flexible and happy to help wherever needed.
• Fluent in English.
• Available for 30–35 hours per week, including weekends.
• Living in Amsterdam or nearby.

Responsibilities

We offer

• Gross hourly salary starting from €16.70, depending on work experience*
• Salary paid every 4 weeks (13 payments per year)
• Travel allowance from 20 km per day of €0.14 per kilometer
• 8% holiday allowance, paid in May
• 10% vacation hours accrual and 5% year-end bonus
• 26 vacation days for a full-time contract and an extra day off on your birthday
• 7-month employment contract with a 1-month probation period and the prospect of a permanent contract

Your job

As a Hands-On Housekeeping Supervisor, you make sure the rooms are clean, the team knows what to do and everything runs smoothly.

Because The Lancaster is a smaller hotel, teamwork is especially important. You won't just supervise from the sidelines. You work alongside your colleagues and help clean rooms whenever needed.

Your daily tasks include:

• Coordinating the daily housekeeping activities and dividing tasks among the team
• Checking guest rooms to make sure they meet our quality standards
• Supporting, guiding and motivating your housekeeping colleagues
• Cleaning guest rooms yourself when needed
• Training new colleagues and helping them feel welcome
• Working closely with the hotel to ensure guests have a great experience

You will normally work between 11:00 and 19:00, with shifts spread across the week, including weekends.
