Job summary

nhow Rotterdam is seeking a Meeting & Events Employee to support the planning and execution of meetings and events in a dynamic, design-led hotel environment. You will assist with setup, room readiness, coffee breaks, and guest service while coordinating with kitchen and other departments.

The role emphasizes hospitality, physical work in event spaces, and attention to dietary needs; English proficiency is required, with Dutch an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience in Meetings and Events is preferred.
• Audio-visual knowledge is an advantage.
• English language proficiency required; Dutch is an advantage.
• Meeting & Events or Banqueting experience is useful.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily meeting schedules.
• Open and prepare all meeting rooms and coffee areas before guests arrive.
• Hand over with Supervisor and adjust spaces based on feedback.
• Prepare breaks and cater to dietary requirements.
• Refresh and tidy meeting rooms; coordinate with kitchen for additional items.
• Assist with lunch periods and post-lunch room resets.
• Support cheerful, smooth event execution from start to finish.

What part will you play in creating the unforgettable?

06:45 With a cup of coffee, you go through the planning of the day.
07:00You open and prepare all meeting rooms and startup all coffee areas before the first guests arrive.
08:00After the handover with the Supervisor you are present in the coffee areas, after feedback from a contact person you quickly adjust one breakout room.
09:30All meetings started and you prepare the first morning breaks, you pay special attention to the dietary wishes of the guests.
11:00The first break has started, your colleague oversees coffee service, you quickly refresh the meeting rooms.
11:45Together with colleagues from different departments you enjoy your lunch.
12:15The first groups go for lunch, you refresh the meeting rooms and make sure all coffee areas are neat and tidy again.
13:00All groups are back in the meeting rooms after their lunch, you tidy up the coffee areas again.
14:30You prepare the afternoon break following the NH Standards, and you ask the kitchen to prepare some more break items.
15:00Your colleague of the evening started, you hand over your shift and you go home!
