Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect for MedTech to own the technical vision of a major health-tech enterprise. You will lead a global team, shape platform strategy, and drive multi-year modernization programs across regions and business units.

You will partner with executives to articulate a clear Data + AI roadmap, demonstrate working prototypes, and guide governance and responsible AI in a regulated environment. This role is hybrid and Amsterdam-based.

Qualifications

• Proven record as lead technical figure on a large global enterprise account, or as enterprise/chief architect, owning the vision over multiple years.
• Experience leading virtual teams without direct authority: setting direction, coaching senior architects and aligning specialists, delivery and partners on one plan.
• Thrives with high autonomy in ambiguous, high-stakes, multi-region, multi-business-unit environments. Excellent communicator, from boardroom to engineering floor, with clear written thinking.
• 10+ years in data engineering, analytics, ML or AI architecture, with significant customer-facing technical leadership (pre-sales, consulting or enterprise architecture).
• Deep, hands-on expertise in modern data and AI platforms; Apache Spark, Delta Lake and Databricks experience is a strong plus.
• Large-scale data platforms and migrations from legacy warehouses, Hadoop or other clouds
• Enterprise governance and security models
• Production ML, MLOps, GenAI and agent systems
• Proven ability to win platform decisions against hyperscaler-native and competing platforms on architecture, cost and governance.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; able to prototype quickly, including with AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical vision for the health-tech strategic account, aligning with CxO and VP priorities.
• Define enterprise Data + AI vision and convert it into an executable roadmap.
• Lead the account pod of SAs, specialists and partners to raise the bar and deliver.
• Partner with the Account Executive on strategy and value realization for major initiatives.
• Align pre-sales, delivery and partners to present one Databricks team and escalation path.
• Build lasting C-level relationships across IT, data & AI, R&D, quality and regulatory.
• Scale GenAI and agent AI from pilot to production across units.
• Develop reusable IP and accelerators for wider health and life sciences communities.
