Job summary

Mpac Langen in Wijchen, Netherlands, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Service Engineering team. You will design customer-specific upgrades and machine modifications for high-tech packaging automation solutions, turning concepts into practical engineering results.

You will create 3D designs, calculations, BOMs, and select materials while ensuring manufacturability. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, leading design reviews, and collaborating with Operations, Service,

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in machine building, automation, or industrial equipment.
Strong 3D CAD skills and manufacturing knowledge.
Ability to translate customer requirements into practical designs.
Proficient communication in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing machine modifications, upgrades, and customer-specific solutions
Creating 3D mechanical designs, calculations, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials
Selecting materials and components while ensuring designs are practical, reliable, and manufacturable
Troubleshooting and improving existing machine designs
Supporting Operations, Service, Sales, and Project teams with technical expertise
Participating in design reviews and presenting engineering solutions
Acting as a technical lead on projects and mentoring junior engineers (Medior/Senior level)
