Job summary

Mpac Langen is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Service Engineering team in Wijchen. You will design customer-specific upgrades and machine modifications, turning concepts into practical solutions for high-tech packaging automation.

The role offers opportunities to lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Operations, Service, Sales, and Project teams across a growing global installed base.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in machine building, automation, or industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, fits, and tolerances.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing mechanical solutions for customers and our global installed base.
• Creating 3D mechanical designs, calculations, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials.
• Selecting materials and components while ensuring designs are practical, reliable and manufacturable.
• Troubleshooting and improving existing machine designs.
• Supporting Operations, Service, Sales, and Project teams with technical expertise.
• Participating in design reviews and presenting engineering solutions.
• Acting as a technical lead on projects and mentoring junior engineers (Medior/Senior level).
