Job summary

Eurostars Hotel Company is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for our new 5-star Eurostars Rijnhaven hotel in Rotterdam. The role focuses on preventing, detecting, and repairing faults in hotel facilities, while optimizing energy use and complying with ORP regulations.

Candidates should have vocational maintenance training and experience in hotel environments, with a solid understanding of safety regulations and coordination with external service providers.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintaining hotel facilities and equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of legionella control and prevention in spa/pool environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with current safety and building regulations for public buildings.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, detect, and repair breakdowns and faults in hotel facilities and equipment.
• Control and optimize energy consumption to support efficiency and sustainability.
• Understand and apply ORP regulations and building self-protection/evacuation plans.
• Coordinate with external maintenance and technical service providers.
• Identify and register equipment and installations requiring maintenance.
• Perform basic repairs in alignment with preventive maintenance plans.

We are looking for an Maintenance Technician for our new 5-star Hotel Eurostars Rijnhaven, located in Rotterdam.

What will you be responsible for?

• Prevent, detect, and repair breakdowns, defects, and anomalies in the hote'ls facilities and equipment.
• Control and optimize energy consumption, contributing to operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Understand and apply current Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) regulations, as well as building self-protection and evacuation plans.
• Maintain smooth coordination with external maintenance and technical service companies.
• Identify and register all equipment and installations subject to maintenance.
• Perform basic repairs on the building and equipment, in coordination with departmental needs and established preventive maintenance plans.

What are we looking for?

• Higher or Intermediate Vocational Training in maintenance-related specialties (electricity, HVAC, installations, electromechanics or similar).
• Knowledge of current regulations applicable to public buildings.
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or similar environments.
• Knowledge of legionella control and prevention, especially in facilities with SPA, pools and sanitary water circuits.
