Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam, part of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, offers a Maintenance Intern position where you’ll work with the Engineering team to gain hands-on experience across technical disciplines in a historic five-star hotel.

You will support troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment upkeep while delivering guest-ready service in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an educational institution during the internship period.
• Interest in technical maintenance, engineering, or facility operations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Enjoy solving technical challenges and practical solutions.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Guest-oriented and calm under pressure.
• Flexible in a dynamic environment; no two days are the same.
• Good command of English; Dutch and/or additional language skills are a plus.
• Eager to learn and maintain five‑star hotel standards.

Responsabilités

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and supporting repairs across the hotel.
• Help maintain equipment, installations, lighting systems, and sanitary facilities to ensure optimal performance.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and regular inspections throughout the property.
• Assist with maintaining kitchen equipment and technical installations.
• Gain experience with basic electrical tasks, including wiring and cabling projects.
• Contribute to a variety of technical assignments within a historic five-star hotel environment.
• Help monitor materials and maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to support the operational excellence of the hotel.

As a Maintenance Intern, you will play an essential role in ensuring our historic hotel continues to operate smoothly behind the scenes.
