Job summary

Rosewood Amsterdam is seeking a passionate Sommelier to join our restaurant team. You will guide guests through our wine list, suggest pairings, and deliver impeccable service in a luxury setting.

Work closely with culinary and beverage teams to maintain a premier wine program, train staff, manage cellar, and ensure proper storage. This role offers comprehensive development within a luxury hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert wine recommendations and food pairing suggestions to guests.
• Deliver attentive and personalized wine service in a luxury setting.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the wine list, vintages, regions, and producers.
• Manage the wine cellar, including inventory, stock rotation, and ordering.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the wine list with restaurant management.
• Train and educate the restaurant team on wines, beverages, and service standards.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and presentation of all wines.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create exceptional dining experiences.
