Job summary

The Albus Group's Senses in Amsterdam is seeking a Sommelier / Restaurant Supervisor to guide guests through a wine-forward dining journey and to lead our hospitality team in a fine dining setting.

You will manage wine list and pairings, train staff, and work hands-on as host, collaborating with the Chef and management to elevate guest experience. Fluency in Dutch or English and SWEN3 certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fine dining restaurant.
• Certified Sommelier (SWEN3) with a true passion for gastronomy.
• Experience in a supervisory or coordinating role within hospitality.
• Fluent in Dutch or English (spoken and written).
• Living in or near the Amsterdam area.
• A positive, energetic personality who thrives in hospitality and motivates others.

Responsibilities

• Creating, managing, and presenting the wine list and wine pairings that complement our seasonal menu.
• Advising and informing guests about wines, and providing exceptional wine service.
• Supervising, coaching, and inspiring the service team; leading by example in hospitality.
• Assisting with staff scheduling and coordinating the daily operations.
• Working hands-on as host/hostess: welcoming guests and ensuring top-level service.
• Collaborating closely with the Chef and management team to evaluate and continuously improve quality and guest experience.
