Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam is seeking a Restaurant Manager for Taiko to oversee daily operations, lead a high-performing team, and deliver exceptional guest service within a luxury hotel setting.

Based in Amsterdam, the role requires evenings and weekend availability, experience in luxury hospitality, strong leadership and financial acumen, and a commitment to HACCP and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience in luxury hospitality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to problem-solve and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English and Dutch preferred
• Understanding of HACCP and health/safety standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations for Taiko, including staffing, service delivery, guest satisfaction, and financial performance
• Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure quality and efficiency
• Train, mentor, and evaluate a diverse team of service professionals
• Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost control for food, beverages, and supplies
• Collaborate with culinary team to ensure menu quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction
• Handle guest feedback professionally and ensure timely resolution
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Prepare and analyse financial reports and drive revenue and profit targets
• Stay updated on industry trends and guest preferences
