Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam is seeking a Chef de Partie to join the Taiko Team. You will supervise a kitchen section, ensure high-quality execution, uphold hygiene standards, and mentor junior staff within a luxury hotel setting.

Candidates should have at least two years in a similar role, a passion for culinary excellence, the ability to work evenings and weekends, and good English proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Recent/current experience as Chef de Partie or similar role.
  • Passion for quality cooking and setting high standards.
  • Ability to work within a multinational kitchen team.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with hygiene codes and HACCP regulations.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operation of a designated kitchen section and oversee food production.
  • Deliver dishes with high quality and precision in line with recipes and standards.
  • Maintain hygiene levels and cost control across the section.
  • Mentor and support junior kitchen brigade members in their development.

As Chef de Partie

You will be responsible for the following duties:

  • You will be supervising the day-to-day operation of a designated section within the kitchen, overseeing all aspects of food production;
  • Delivering highest levels of quality and precision, preparing dishes in line with recipes and standards;
  • Maintaining highest levels of hygiene and cost control;
  • You will act as a role model and mentor to the junior members in the kitchen brigade, guiding and supporting them in their development.
As Chef De Partie We Expect From You
  • Recent/current experience in the same position to that of Chef de Partie for at least two years;
  • A passionate and quality-driven approach to cooking;
  • Works well within a multinational team;
  • Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken);
  • Familiar with hygiene code and HACCP regulations;
  • Ability to work evenings and weekend shifts.
