Job summary

Amgen is expanding its Breda manufacturing operations and seeks Line Lead Manufacturing to coordinate daily floor activities, manage staff, and drive performance on an expanding production line. You will be the operational heartbeat, ensuring plans are executed, problems addressed, and teams coached toward higher-quality output.

This role combines technical manufacturing expertise with strong leadership and continuous improvement mindset to support growth, quality, and safety on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• MBO or HBO degree in a technical or industrial field (e.g. VAPRO B/C, MLO, MTS, Post-HBO certification).
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to influence and motivate others.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and structured problem solving.
• Willingness and ability to work in a 2-shift, 3-shift & 5-shifts schedule.
• Strong English communication skills; Dutch is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations, including staffing, materials, equipment, and production priorities.
• Lead shift handovers, team meetings, and problem-solving discussions.
• Provide clear task allocation, guidance, and coaching to team members.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support investigations and collaborate closely with Quality, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams.
• Develop strong technical expertise on equipment and manufacturing processes and actively support production when needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and team performance.
• Help prepare the manufacturing organization for future growth and operational challenges.
