Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Janssen Vaccines & Prevention is recruiting for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager located in Leiden, Netherlands. The role leads the EH&S program, partners with site management to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations, and drives ISO 14001 and continuous safety improvements.

You will manage a team of EH&S professionals, mentor staff, and liaise with regulatory agencies while building a culture of safety and accountability across the Leiden campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-degree required in science/engineering or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in EH&S or related field preferred.
• Experience leading EH&S programs and teams.
• Knowledge of national and local EH&S regulations.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and regulatory audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead Leiden site safety programs and culture of safety.
• Drive EH&S management system and continuous improvement.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting to agencies.
• Provide technical leadership for EH&S programs at campus.
• Manage and mentor EH&S professionals and track performance.
• Coordinate with site management and external regulators.
