Job summary

GXO Logistics, Lelystad site, seeks an Operations Manager to lead a dedicated operation of about 50 permanent and 100+ flexible employees, with end-to-end responsibility for the site, including operational leadership and financial performance.

You will own daily execution, drive LEAN and continuous improvement, develop the team, manage budgets, KPIs and customer relationships, and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in warehouse, logistics or comparable operational environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams within an operational setting.
• Experience with operational and financial responsibility, including budgets, cost control and performance management.
• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operational execution, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operations.
• Take full responsibility for the site’s operational and financial performance, including budgets, costs and productivity.
• Drive performance through KPIs, dashboards and data insights; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Champion LEAN, continuous improvement and process standardisation to improve quality, productivity and efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, including performance management, training and succession planning.
• Plan and allocate staff, workload and resources in collaboration with support functions and the customer.
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with the customer and act as a key contact for the operation.
• Create a safe, inclusive working environment, with up-to-date procedures and compliance.
