Job summary

GXO Logistics, Lelystad, is seeking an Operations Manager to take full site ownership, overseeing around 50 permanent employees and 100+ flex workers, with end-to-end responsibility for operations and financial performance. You will lead daily execution, drive lean improvements, develop the team, manage budgets, KPIs, and maintain a strong customer relationship while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.
Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
Hands-on, resilient, and results-driven with the ability to perform under pressure.
Strong analytical and reporting skills; ability to turn data into action.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operational execution and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
Take full responsibility for the site's operational and financial performance, including budgets and productivity.
Drive performance through KPIs, dashboards, and data insights; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Champion LEAN, continuous improvement, and process standardisation.
Lead, coach, and develop the team; manage performance and succession planning.
Plan and allocate staff, workload, and resources in collaboration with support functions and the customer.
Build and maintain a strong customer relationship and act as a key contact for the operation.
Create a safe, inclusive working environment and maintain up-to-date procedures and compliance.
