Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer specialized in Security Operations (SIR) to design, customize and optimize the SIR workspace, playbooks, and automation. You will integrate with SIEM/EDR tools and support VR, TI, and CC modules, ensuring secure incident response and continuous improvement of SecOps capabilities.

Responsibilities include building resilient workflows, dashboards, and data models, plus collaborating with teams to implement best practices and ITIL/ITSM

Requirements

• Senior ServiceNow Engineer with strong expertise in Security Operations (SecOps), specializing in Security Incident Response (SIR).
• SIR workspace customization, playbook design, and automation, while also supporting broader SecOps modules such as Vulnerability Response, Threat Intelligence, and Configuration Compliance.
• Configure and enhance the SIR Workspace, including custom views, dashboards, and components
• Design and implement SIR playbooks with advanced logic, branching, automated/manual tasks, and integrations
• Develop and optimize incident classification, enrichment logic, and correlation rules
• Build remediation workflows and guided response actions using Playbook Designer and Flow Designer
• Ensure SIR processes align with security operations best practices and organizational standards
• Configure and support SecOps modules including Vulnerability Response (VR), Threat Intelligence (TI), and Configuration Compliance (CC)
• Integrate ServiceNow SecOps with third‑party tools (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, threat feeds)
• Develop scripts, automation flows, and custom applications for SecOps use cases
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of configurations and integrations
• Support platform upgrades ensuring continuity and optimization of SecOps functionalities
• Strong hands‑on experience with ServiceNow SIR (workspace customization, playbooks, data model, automation)
• Experience with VR, TI, and CC modules
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting (server‑side and client‑side)
• Experience with Flow Designer, Playbook Designer, Integration Hub, and ServiceNow Studio
• Hands‑on experience integrating with security tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, scanners, APIs)
• Strong understanding of security operations and incident response lifecycle
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, threat analysis, and remediation processes
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and continuous monitoring practices
• Experience with ServiceNow CI/CD, scoped app development, update sets, and deployment pipelines
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM practices
