Job summary

Ace & Tate in Amsterdam is looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to own end-to-end financial administration for specific entities and support month-end close.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and review P&Ls for 80+ stores across 9 countries, acting as a trusted finance partner to stores and HQ while helping improve processes.

Qualifications

• Fixed assets accounting experience and VAT knowledge.
• BSc or MSc in accounting/finance.
• 1–3 years in finance or accounting roles.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset.
• Experience with Odoo ERP is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with payment runs and reconciliation of bank transactions.
• Help optimise financial processes and reporting in a fast-growing environment.
• Support ad hoc business cases and assist during the annual audit.

We are looking for a Junior Financial Accountant at our Amsterdam HQ, 32-40 hours.

What our Jr. Financial Accountants do

• Take full ownership manage the end-to-end financial administration for specific entities – from invoice processing to reporting
• Keep our numbers clean and reliable prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support month-end close activities
• Support performance insights review P&Ls and contribute to accurate, timely reporting for our 80+ stores across 9 countries
• Be a trusted finance partner act as the go-to person for finance-related questions from stores and HQ teams
• Build strong relationships coordinate with vendors, reconcile statements, and resolve invoice queries
• Keep cash flowing smoothly assist with payment runs, process employee declarations, and reconcile bank transactions
• Improve how we work help optimise financial processes and reporting in a fast-growing, changing environment
• Support key moments contribute to ad hoc business cases and assist during the annual audit

You have

• Experience with fixed assets accounting; experience with Odoo ERP is a strong plus
• VAT knowledge strong experience on VAT submission
• Educational foundation a solid accounting or finance degree (BSc or MSc level)
• Relevant experience 1–3 years in a finance or accounting role
• Analytical skills strong analytical skills and confidence working with Excel formulas
• Solution-oriented mindset ability to adapt quickly when things change
• Ownership mindset comfort taking ownership and improvising when needed
• Languages fluency in English, both spoken and written
