Job summary

Rabobank is seeking a Software Engineer to join Team GSM and design, develop and maintain Java-based microservices powering Rabobank’s digital banking experiences. You will build secure REST APIs, improve observability and reliability, and collaborate with architects, product owners and stakeholders in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• At least three years of demonstrable experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of distributed microservice architectures and API design.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting and observability tooling.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment practices.
• Fluency in English and ability to work effectively with developers, architects, product owners and other stakeholders.
• You are located in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands.

• Design, develop and maintain Java 21+ microservices for business-critical digital banking platforms.
• Build secure, scalable and high-performing REST APIs that support reliable customer experiences.
• Improve reliability and observability through monitoring, logging, alerting and production support.
