About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join an established engineering team developing high-performance, customer-facing applications within the financial technology sector.

You will focus on Java backend development, building microservices, improving application performance and supporting reliable production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable microservices and REST APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Contribute to system design and architectural improvements.
• Improve application performance, reliability and scalability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments and production monitoring.
• Investigate technical issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers and Product Owners to deliver new functionality.
• Strong working knowledge of Spring Boot.
