Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient is seeking an IT Architect (m/f/d) to lead the integration of IT/OT components across international projects in our currency technology domain. You will ensure sizing and secure base infrastructure for our software landscape with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities include designing IT/OT architectures, translating customer requirements into technical solutions, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering structured progress reports.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, IT or related ICT training.
• Proven experience in engineering large IT/OT integration projects for plant engineering.
• Strong negotiation skills to align customers and suppliers.
• Ability to assess IT architecture options and select robust solutions.
• Experience with secure network design and private cloud/datacenter concepts.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443 and ISO 27001, with relevant certifications preferred.
• Multiple years of requirements analysis for IT/OT systems in automation environments.
• Proficient in defining high-availability IT environments (ITIL v4).
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus; willingness to travel worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT/OT aspects for integration solutions in international projects.
• Support projects remotely and on-site through all life cycle stages.
• Design IT/OT architectures with high availability and security standards.
• Translate customer requirements into technical implementations.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders as primary technical contact.
• Oversee suppliers to meet quality, schedule, and cost targets.
• Present and defend proposals with IT departments of international customers.
• Monitor progress and report to management in a structured way.
• Create technical documentation for management, customers, and suppliers.
