Job summary

BYD Europe is seeking an International HR Specialist to join our Hoofddorp team. This on-site role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and HR administration in a fast-paced, international environment. Key duties include managing end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts, HR data management, and 30% ruling support.

Fluent English is required; Chinese is a plus. On-site work five days a week in Hoofddorp, NL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in HR Operations or Generalist roles.
• Good knowledge of Dutch employment practices and HR administration.
• Experience supporting international employees or a multinational organization is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management and detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment process including posting, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
• Oversee employee onboarding and ensure documents, systems, access, and procedures are completed on time.
• Prepare and manage employment contracts, amendments, renewals, and HR documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data in HR systems.
• Support the 30% ruling process from application to lifecycle maintenance.
• Provide guidance on employee relations and HR-related inquiries.
• Coordinate training and development activities and maintain training records.
• Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with Dutch law.
• Support HR data management and routine HR operations across departments.

About the role

In order to enable the strong growth of our company, BYD Europe is looking for an International HR Specialist to join our young, international team with a passion for innovation and a can-do attitude.

The position covers a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, contract and employee administration, employee relations, 30% ruling support, training coordination, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and international environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and support the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, CV screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, offer preparation, and onboarding arrangements.

• Manage employee onboarding, ensuring all required documents, systems, access, and administrative procedures are completed accurately and on time.

• Prepare and manage employment contracts, contract amendments, renewals, and other HR-related documentation in accordance with company policies and Dutch employment regulations.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems, ensuring data quality and confidentiality.

• Support the 30% ruling process, including application, documentation, follow-up, and maintenance of the ruling throughout the employee lifecycle.

• Provide support on employee relations and HR-related questions, working closely with employees and managers where necessary.

• Coordinate and provide administrative support for employee training and development activities, including training arrangements, communication, and records.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable Dutch employment laws and company requirements.

• Support HR-related activities such as HR data management and other routine HR operations.

• Collaborate with internal departments and external service providers on HR-related matters.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in HR Operations, HR Generalist, International HR, or a similar role.

• Good knowledge of Dutch employment practices and HR administration.

• Experience in supporting international employees or a multinational organization is preferred.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds.

• Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Fluent in English; Chinese is a plus.

• Willingness to work on-site in Hoofddorp, 5 days per week.
