Job summary

INNOVATEST Group of Companies is seeking Service Engineers for our Maastricht headquarters. You will be trained to become a specialist in hardness testing equipment, starting with workshop-based repairs, calibration, and customer support, then expanding to installations, training, and on-site service internationally.

Qualifications

• MBO+ level (or equivalent) in electronics, mechatronics, or related field.
• Hands-on technical experience in electronics and/or fine mechanics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Structured and accurate in following procedures.
• Independent, reliable, proactive mindset.
• Good command of English; Dutch or German is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to learn and develop into a product specialist.
• Interest in international travel (future growth opportunity).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers and international sales partners.
• Perform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of high-tech electronic and precision mechanical equipment.
• Carry out calibration of hardness testers per ISO and ASTM standards.
• Support software and firmware updates.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Ensure high quality, accuracy, and timely completion of service work.
• Prepare service reports, measurement reports, and calibration certificates.
• Communicate technical findings and repair requirements internally.
