Job summary

NKT is seeking an Installation Proposal Manager to lead the installation tendering process for large international projects. You will coordinate with tender teams, develop competitive installation solutions, and present to customers.

Based in Rotterdam with travel across Europe, you will work with MS Projects and negotiate with subcontractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective tenders.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc degree within Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years work experience in technical sales or project management. Experience within the cable installation industry, landfall HDD work and nearshore works would be of benefit.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation aspects in the tender from start to contract award and handover to project installation department.
• Deliver high quality tenders, prioritizing appropriately and meeting customer demands and directives and NKT Installation Strategy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally and act as a single point of contact during the tender phase.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with installation subcontractors.
• Ensure a competitive installation solution - both technically and commercially.
• Prepare the documentation package for the client; prepare accurate cost estimates and time schedules for the proposal installation solution; present installation solutions to customers and negotiate to secure tenders.

Manage the installation scope in our global tenders

Are you keen on joining a diverse team, running international tenders for large infrastructure projects aimed at connecting a greener world? Working closely with our international customers, we develop, manufacture and install efficient, environmentally friendly and technologically advanced high-voltage cables for land and offshore applications worldwide.

Manage the installation tendering process

Our installation department continues to grow and we are looking for a new colleague to join our team as Installation Proposal Manager. In this role you will be part of our tender team, with responsibility for the cable installation part of our proposals. You will efficiently manage the installation tendering process for all assigned projects and ensure the best execution methodology and commercial solution is offered to our customers.

With your technical interest and business-minded approach you will work with tendering of large, complex projects, many of which are for major installations. Other responsibilities will include presenting our installation solutions to customers and negotiating with the motivation to secure contracts in our tenders, many of which involve major stakeholders in the international market.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Responsibility for installation aspects in the tender from start of tendering to contract award and handover to the project installation department
• Responsibility to deliver high quality tenders, prioritizing appropriately and meeting both customer demands and directives and NKT Installation Strategy

You will be part of an international team located in various locations. This role will be based in Rotterdam, NL. Some additional travel will be required mainly throughout Europe on an ad-hoc basis (approximately 30 days per year).
