Job summary

Riverflex is seeking an independent freelance consultant to join our team on a 3-6 month engagement in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. You will act as the right hand to our lead consultant, translating direction into finished material, conducting analysis behind organisational decisions, and delivering recommendations with direct visibility to directors.

The role blends content storytelling with hands-on analysis, coordinating end-to-end workstreams, and shaping technology strategy, including AI

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in management consulting, or in-house transformation or chief-of-staff roles.
• Hands-on experience implementing operating models or organisational change.
• Exceptional storytelling and material craft; you build work yourself.
• Strong structured analysis: break down ambiguous problems and form a view.
• Enough technology grounding to converse credibly with engineers.
• Self-directed: you own the destination and guardrails.
• Available to start at short notice as an independent contractor.
• Fluent English and the right to work in the EU.

Responsibilities

• Content and storytelling: turn direction into finished material for director-level audiences.
• Analysis and diligence: run analyses behind organisational decisions and map responsibilities.
• Independent workstreams: own end-to-end workstreams and drive to a conclusion.
• Engage with engineering leadership on technology strategy topics, including AI across the software lifecycle.
