Job summary

Kohinoor of India in Arnhem is seeking an Independent working Chef I to prepare lunches and dinners, handle mise en place, and ensure the highest quality and presentation of dishes. You will work with a small team, follow HACCP rules, and manage routine inventory and cleaning.

We offer varied shifts, travel reimbursement, daily uniforms, and internal training. Salary follows the Dutch CAO at €2,750–€3,250 depending on experience; Dutch or English language skills are required.

Qualifications

• MBO level 3 diploma (work and thinking)
• Basic culinary knowledge and skills required
• Ability to work independently and show initiative
• Ability to handle stress during peak periods
• Team-oriented and able to fit within a restaurant team
• Dutch or English language proficiency

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare lunch and dinner dishes
• Execute mise en place and prep tasks (cutting, mixing, portioning)
• Ensure quality, taste and presentation of all dishes
• Apply HACCP and safety regulations
• Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, and checking products
• Maintain and clean kitchen equipment and spaces
• Contribute ideas for recipes and menu updates
• Supervise compliance with regulations and assistants
