Job summary

Blend House in the Netherlands is looking for an Independent Working Chef - I to join our kitchen team. You will independently prepare lunch and dinner dishes, perform mise en place, and ensure high quality, taste, and presentation while following HACCP and safety rules.

We offer varied shifts, a friendly team, travel reimbursement, clean uniforms, and internal training. Salary according to the Dutch hospitality CAO: €2,700 - €3,200 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• MBO-3 diploma or equivalent.
• Basic cooking techniques knowledge.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to handle stress and peak periods.
• Fluent in Dutch or English.
• Enthusiastic, dedicated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare lunch and dinner dishes.
• Carry out mise en place and preparatory tasks.
• Ensure quality, taste and presentation of dishes.
• Apply HACCP and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory: ordering, receiving and checking products.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workspaces.
• Contribute ideas for recipes and menu updates.
• Supervise the work of assistants.
