Wereld Restaurant Samen B.V. in The Hague is seeking an Independent Chef I to strengthen our kitchen team. You will assist in preparing dishes and work closely with our kitchen team.

You can work both independently and as part of a team, and you feel responsible for a clean and organized kitchen. Our restaurant is located at Brasserskade 223, 2497NX ’s-Gravenhage. Qualifications

• You take independent initiative and act solution-oriented.
• You work with conviction and dare to take responsibility.
• MBO-3 work and thinking level (If you don't meet the requirements, apply anyway!).
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Selecting and preparing ingredients (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.).
• Conducting intermediate checks (doneness, taste, color) and making adjustments as needed.
• Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.
• Supervising the work of kitchen assistants and correcting as necessary.
• Keeping track of stock levels, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries.
• Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment, and workstations.
• Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.
• Providing input regarding the composition and adjustments of menus and work methods.
