Job summary

Boat Bike Tours is seeking an experienced HR leader to grow the HR function and professionalise our people operations. Based in Amsterdam with up to one day of remote work, you will report to the CEO and partner with a small HR team to elevate our HR practices across international locations.

You will set up HR structures, guide policy, own core HR processes, and coordinate HR data while fostering an inclusive culture that values people. Experience with Buddee and Homerun is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years HR experience, preferably in a matrix organisation.
• Experience setting up HR structures and working with international teams.
• Knowledge of HR tools Buddee and Homerun is a plus.
• Strategic insight combined with a practical, people-first approach.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Set up HR structures (performance management, growth paths, feedback cycles).
• Support teams across all locations with roles, responsibilities and development.
• Guide change and ensure HR policy fits our international organisation.
• Own HR processes (recruitment, on/offboarding, learning & development) and tools (Buddee, Homerun).
• Coordinate feedback cycles and HR data across locations.
• Help build an inclusive culture where people feel safe and valued.
