Job summary

Exact Software is seeking an Application Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, performance and availability of cloud-hosted SaaS applications. You will join the Application Operations team operating across multi-cloud environments on Azure and AWS, collaborating with development, infrastructure and product teams to deliver reliable hosting for hundreds of thousands of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in Application Operations or a similar technical role.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting applications in production.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and improve.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health, availability, and performance of cloud-hosted applications.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, alerts, and operational issues.
• Execute application updates and configuration changes following established procedures.
• Work closely with Development, Infrastructure Operations, and Product teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
• Help improve monitoring, automation, documentation, and operational processes.
• Participate in incident management activities and support operational excellence initiatives.
• Learn and develop expertise in cloud technologies, application hosting, and operational best practices.
