Job summary

Exact is seeking an Application Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and availability of cloud-hosted applications. You will join a team spanning Delft, Utrecht and Kuala Lumpur, supporting SaaS solutions used by hundreds of thousands of customers daily.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and improve operational processes while collaborating with Development, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver reliable services across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Min 2-3 years professional experience in Application Operations or similar technical role.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting applications in a production environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health, availability, and performance of cloud-hosted applications.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, alerts, and operational issues.
• Perform operational tasks related to application management and maintenance.
• Execute application updates and configuration changes following established procedures.
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure Operations, and Product teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Help improve monitoring, automation, documentation, and operational processes.
• Participate in incident management activities and support operational excellence.
