Job summary

Eastman is seeking a Market Development Manager for its Specialty Fluids division, based in Rotterdam. The role focuses on driving growth in Heat Transfer Fluids markets through strategic marketing initiatives, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Technical teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in engineering, marketing, or business roles, with a Bachelor’s degree and preferably an MBA.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering, marketing, business development, product management, or commercial roles.
• Experience in heat transfer fluids, thermal management, or related markets preferred.
• Strong analytical, market research, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• English language required; other languages are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assess markets, applications, customers, and value chains to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop and maintain addressable market and application maps.
• Lead front-end innovation from idea to Concept (I2C) using market research and PM skills.
• Manage Stage-Gate projects from opportunity identification to post-launch review using EBME.
• Develop market activation plans and value propositions with relevant teams.
• Collaborate with Sales to advance leads and convert opportunities into commercial wins.
• Build HTF application and market expertise through stakeholder engagement.
• Track key metrics like Market Development & Innovation index and Net New Business.
