Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to provide hands-on HR support across the Netherlands and Belgium, reporting to the HR Business Partner. You will assist with onboarding, contracts, changes and payroll coverage while upholding compliant people processes.

The role requires collaboration with HRBP and HR Operations Specialist, handling confidential information and contributing to regional HR initiatives. English fluency is essential; Dutch is preferred for NL/BE support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in HR or related field.
• At least 3 years of HR experience including operations or generalist duties.
• Knowledge of Dutch employment law preferred; Belgian requirements advantageous.
• Experience with HR portals and occupational health processes; ArboNed familiarity is an advantage.
• Experience with HRIS and maintaining confidential records; multi-country support advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion, service orientation, and organization.
• Professional proficiency in English; Dutch preferred for NL/BE; French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding, contracts, changes, transfers, promotions and offboarding across NL and BE.
• Administer benefits including pensions and maintain leave records.
• Coordinate sickness absence with occupational health providers.
• Keep digital personnel records secure and support audits and reporting.
• Provide temporary payroll cover when the HR Operations Specialist is absent.
• Support routine employee relations cases under HRBP guidance; track actions.
• Help maintain performance, probation, talent and engagement processes.
• Coordinate approved recruitment and organizational changes under HRBP guidance.
• Assist with learning, policy communications and regional HR projects.
• Handle confidential information and ensure privacy and safety compliance.
