Job summary

Paramount in Amsterdam seeks an HR Advisor to join the local HR team and partner with HR Business Partners and managers across the employee lifecycle. You will manage hiring, promotions, performance conversations and employee relations, shaping how HR shows up in the business.

You will handle sick leave, performance cycles, data insights, and vendor relationships, ensuring policies stay sharp and relevant while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar HR advisory role.
• Solid grounding in performance management, employee relations, absence management, compensation and workforce planning.
• Working knowledge of Dutch employment legislation.
• Fluency in English and Dutch with confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to partner for HR Business Partners and managers across hiring, promotions, and performance conversations.

Is this the role for you?

Paramount is looking for an HR Advisor to join our Amsterdam-based HR team. A role where you'll be right at the heart of how we support, develop, and take care of our people. You'll work closely with HR Business Partners and the HR Operations Centre of Excellence, gaining exposure across the full breadth of HR, all while contributing to a function that genuinely shapes the employee experience at Paramount.

What will you be doing?

As HR Advisor, you'll be the go-to partner for our HR Business Partners and managers, helping navigate everything from hiring and promotions to performance conversations and employee relations. You'll bring structure to complexity: managing sick leave cases, supporting performance cycles, and turning HR data into insights that drive real decisions. This isn't a back-office role. You'll actively shape how HR shows up across the business, leading vendor relationships, keeping our local policies sharp and relevant, and rolling up your sleeves on cross-functional projects that stretch across the wider HR landscape. This is a great opportunity to play a central role in delivering high-quality HR support and initiatives that make a real difference to our people and business.

What are we looking for?

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
• A steady hand for juggling multiple cases and deadlines without losing quality
• Solid grounding in performance management, employee relations, absence management, compensation, and workforce planning
• Working knowledge of Dutch employment legislation
• Fluency in English and Dutch
• A collaborative style, clear communication, and a strong sense of confidentiality and integrity
