Job summary

The Social Hub in Rotterdam is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our hotel running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll work with the Maintenance Manager, handling repairs, safety checks, and guest-friendly fixes to ensure a comfortable stay for guests, students, and teammates.

You’ll perform routine maintenance, respond to issues quickly, and coordinate with external contractors when specialized work is needed, while staying aware of stock levels and prioritizing guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a similar maintenance role, ideally in hospitality.
• Strong hands-on technical skills with practical fixes.
• Calm under pressure, able to work independently yet in a team.
• Fluent in the local language and customer-friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day maintenance issues across the hotel, including plumbing and lighting.
• Complete daily walkarounds, keeping indoor/outdoor areas safe and tidy.
• Carry out preventative maintenance checks to spot issues early.
• Tackle minor painting and cosmetic fixes when needed.
• Coordinate external contractors for specialist work.
• Monitor stock levels for tools and parts.
• Support the Maintenance Manager with ad hoc tasks.
