Job summary

The Social Hub seeks a Maintenance Technician to be the go-to fixer and calm presence ensuring the hotel runs smoothly behind the scenes. You will work with the Maintenance Manager to keep guests, students, and teammates comfortable and safe every day.

From quick repairs to preventative checks, you’ll be hands-on, practical, and proactive. You’ll join the local hub team, take ownership, work independently, and jump in where needed to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally in hospitality.
• Strong hands-on technical skills and an ability to fix things yourself.
• Calm and composed under pressure with good problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day maintenance issues across the hotel, from plumbing and lighting to locks and small repairs.
• Complete daily walkarounds and keep indoor and outdoor areas clean, safe, and looking sharp.
• Carry out preventative maintenance checks to spot issues before they become problems.
• Tackle minor painting and cosmetic fixes when things need a refresh.
• Support and coordinate external contractors when specialist work is needed.
• Keep an eye on stock levels for tools, materials, and spare parts.
• Jump in on ad hoc tasks and support the Maintenance Manager when required.
