Job summary

The Social Hub in Rotterdam is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day maintenance across the hotel, from plumbing and lighting to locks and small repairs, ensuring guests, students and teammates feel safe and taken care of every day.

You will work alongside the Maintenance Manager, perform preventative checks, coordinate external contractors when needed, and keep stock levels of tools and parts, all while staying calm under pressure and delivering a guest-friendly service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar maintenance role, ideally in hospitality.
• Strong hands-on technical skills and practical problem-solving.
• Calm under pressure and able to work independently.
• Able to work as part of a close-knit team with flexible priorities.
• Fluent in the local language.
• Positive, professional and guest-friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day maintenance issues across the hotel.
• Carry out preventative maintenance checks.
• Perform minor painting and cosmetic fixes.
• Support external contractors when specialist work is needed.
• Keep watch on stock levels for tools and parts.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with ad hoc tasks.
