Job summary

Ruby Emma in Amsterdam is seeking a hands-on Operations Leader to manage daily hotel operations with personality and soul. You’ll recruit, onboard, develop, and lead a high-performing team while driving guest satisfaction and precise budgeting.

We embrace Lean Luxury, HACCP compliance, and collaborative leadership. Fluency in Dutch and English, hospitality training or a related degree, and a warm, charismatic presence are essential to shine in this role.

Qualifications

• Completed professional training in the hotel industry and/or hold a degree in hospitality or business administration.
• Extensive experience in an operational leadership role in lifestyle hospitality or gastronomy.
• Strong knowledge of POS, PMS, and business management.

Responsibilities

• Represent your hotel as the go-to person for your team, our guests, and external service providers and partners in all matters.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development while fostering a positive and collaborative working atmosphere.
• Roll up your sleeves as a hands-on leader who guides by example.
• Manage budgets and forecasting with precision.
• Spot trends, streamline processes, and plan strategically to keep the hotel moving forward.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, occupational safety, fire protection, and other legal requirements.
• Bring the Ruby Spirit to life by implementing internal styles and maintaining quality standards.
