Job summary

IJver Amsterdam is seeking an operational manager to ensure smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction. You will lead front‑of‑house staff, train newcomers and motivate the team while handling stock, ordering and admin tasks.

In this hands-on role you’ll stay calm during busy periods, adapt quickly and set an example for service excellence. A strong knowledge of drinks, customer care and event coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and staff motivation skills.
• Experience in managing front-of-house staff and coordinating a team.
• Resilience under pressure and structured work approach.
• Knowledge of craft beers, coffee and wines.
• Experience with inventory management and daily ordering.
• Fluent Dutch language skills and residence in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure guest-first service.
• Manage personnel, train new colleagues and coach staff.
• Handle cash management, stock control and daily ordering.
• Implement improvements, maintain administration and records.
• Organise events and manage group reservations.
• Remain calm during peak times and adapt to demand.
• Act as a hands-on on-floor leader and a connector with the team.
