Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American invites applications for a Room Attendant. Join our landmark Art Nouveau hotel in Amsterdam’s Leidseplein and help create spotless, welcoming spaces for guests.

We seek a detail-driven, reliable team member with 1+ year in housekeeping, a good grasp of cleaning standards, and the ability to work independently while staying flexible to shifts and peak periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or a similar role (1+ year).
• Good understanding of cleaning standards and guest expectations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable reading basic instructions in English (additional languages is a plus).
• Friendly, professional, respectful attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Physically fit to be on your feet and move around the hotel.
• Flexible to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Own Your Room: take full ownership of assigned guest rooms, restock amenities, check equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Deliver Comfort with Care: make beds, clean bathrooms to high standards and ensure a welcoming space.
• Work Smart & Stay Organised: keep trolley and tools clean and stocked; follow daily task lists and checklists.
• Be a Team Player: communicate with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate room readiness and support the team.
• Prioritise Safety & Hygiene: follow hotel policies on hygiene, security, and health & safety.
