Leonardo Hotels Benelux is seeking a Head of Project Management & Development to lead renovation and development projects across the Benelux portfolio. You will coordinate operations, contractors, suppliers and internal teams, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and brand standards.

You will review technical drawings, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulations while fostering sustainability and operational efficiency across multiple hotels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level working and thinking ability in construction/related field.
• 5–10 years in project management, construction or property development.
• Experience in hospitality or multi-site environments.
• Knowledge of Dutch building regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

About the job

As Head of Project Management & Development, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering renovation, maintenance, and construction projects across our hotels in the Benelux region.

You act as the link between hotel operations, external contractors, suppliers, architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders. From feasibility assessments and budgeting to execution and completion, you ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to brand standards.

You have a strong understanding of building systems, technical maintenance, hospitality operations, and Dutch regulations. You are comfortable reviewing technical drawings, negotiating with suppliers, managing budgets, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Leading renovation and development projects throughout the Benelux portfolio
• Managing CAPEX, maintenance, and renovation budgets
• Coordinating contractors, consultants, suppliers, and external stakeholders
• Supporting hotel teams with technical and maintenance-related projects
• Monitoring project timelines, quality standards, and costs
• Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, permits, safety requirements, and building regulations
• Preparing business cases and project proposals
• Identifying opportunities for improvement, sustainability initiatives, and operational efficiencies

Job Requirements

• Bachelor level working and thinking ability, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, Facility Management, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in project management, construction, technical services, or property development
• Experience within hospitality, hotels, real estate, or multi-site environments
• Strong knowledge of Dutch building regulations, permits, safety requirements, and compliance standards
• Proven experience managing renovation and maintenance projects
• Ability to prepare, manage, and control project budgets
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, and suppliers
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong organizational and project planning abilities
• Fluent in Dutch and English; a good understanding of the French language is considered a strong advantage given the Benelux scope of the role.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Benelux region
