Job summary

A leading hospitality organization is seeking a passionate Banqueting Supervisor to ensure seamless event execution at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam. You will manage the Banqueting team and act as the main point of contact during meetings and events. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant experience, strong planning skills, and is fluent in Dutch and English. Overview

From small meetings to large parties, you ensure that all events run smoothly and manage the Banqueting team with great passion. You have boundless energy and know how to convey this to the team in a fun way. During meetings and events, you are the point of contact and ensure that everything is arranged down to the last detail. This means you will need to liaise effectively with various departments such as Groups & Events, Front Office, Technical Services and Housekeeping. Stressful situations? Not for you! You are good at planning ahead and know how to deal with ad hoc issues in the right way. Your role will also include creating schedules, conducting job interviews and proactively attending internal meetings.

Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam – The newest hotel of our company is located directly at the Overamstel metro station. This 4-star superior hotel is ideal: 5 minutes from Zuidas and the RAI, 10 minutes from the city center and 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport. The hotel has 18 floors and 490 rooms with a fresh, innovative design and high quality modern equipment. The 1,200 square meters of conference space is spread over 11 meeting rooms and a gigantic ballroom, making it the perfect location for large events and conferences. Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam is the largest hotel of the Leonardo group in Europe and features beautiful views and refined dining in LEO\'S International Flavors restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Ensure events run smoothly and lead the Banqueting team with passion.
• Act as the primary point of contact during meetings and events and liaise with departments including Groups & Events, Front Office, Technical Services and Housekeeping.
• Plan ahead to manage ad hoc issues and create schedules; participate in job interviews and internal meetings.

What makes you the perfect supervisor

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• Proactive with strong planning abilities.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; another language is a plus.
• Flexible, available in the evenings, weekends and on public holidays.
• Experience in the hotel industry or completed hotel training is a plus.
