Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the Options Engineering team focused on systematic options trading. You will own and evolve a Rust-based trading platform, drive improvements to quoting, execution, pricing, and risk controls, and partner with trading, quant, risk, product, and infra teams.

This role supports European time zones or US East with a strong remote‑friendly setup. You will guide a team of engineers, balance latency with reliability, and ensure production trading

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in systematic trading, options market-making or low-latency trading systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Rust, C++, or C.
• Willingness to become deeply proficient in Rust, if not already.
• Strong understanding of algorithmic options trading, including quoting, execution, pricing, risk controls, and data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an Options Engineering team of around 7 engineers.
• Provide hands‑on guidance in systematic options trading and market‑making.
• Own and evolve a Rust‑native options trading platform.
• Set technical direction for trading infra, design, performance, reliability, and risk controls.
• Work with traders, quants, product, risk, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Balance leadership with delivery ownership and operational discipline.
