Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering / Engineering Lead for the Options team to drive the evolution of a Rust-native, systematic options trading platform. The role involves leadership of around 7 engineers, shaping trading infrastructure, and partnering with traders, quants, and risk teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systematic trading or low-latency systems.
• Proficient in Rust, C++, or C; willingness to deepen Rust.
• Knowledge of automated quoting, execution, pricing, and risk controls.
• Experience with SQL databases, PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and production reliability.
• Experience with crypto exchange connectivity or FPGA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Options Engineering team (~7 engineers).
• Provide technical direction across trading infrastructure, system design, performance, reliability, and risk controls.
• Own and evolve an existing Rust-native systematic options trading platform.
• Collaborate with traders, quants, product, risk, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Balance technical leadership with delivery ownership and operational discipline.
