Keyrock is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operation of high-performance trading systems within its Capital Markets division. You will own core components, collaborating with quants, traders, and engineers to push the boundaries of latency, reliability, and observability in a fully remote, European-timezone-friendly environment.

The role demands production-grade Rust experience, deep knowledge of trading systems, and strong AWS/Linux expertise.

Qualifications

• Production-grade Rust experience building high-performance, concurrent systems.
• Hands-on experience in systematic trading environments (HFT, Market Making, Quantitative Trading).
• Strong AWS and Linux expertise, including latency‑sensitive workloads and production troubleshooting.
• Python or scripting for strategy development and tooling.
• Familiarity with trading protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket) and market data feeds.
• Understanding of low-latency networking and kernel bypass concepts.
• Knowledge of AI-first tooling and agentic engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize low-latency, mission-critical trading systems.
• Own key trading stack components end-to-end from architecture to production.
• Collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers to improve performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve trading infra emphasizing performance, stability, and observability.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across connectivity, execution, and data handling.
• Drive engineering standards through leadership, reviews, and mentoring.
• Embrace AI-assisted workflows and automation to evolve tooling.
• Contribute to testing for critical trading components.
