Job summary

Keyrock, a leading crypto market maker, is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to own mission-critical trading infrastructure within the Capital Markets division. You will design low-latency systems, drive architectural direction, and collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers in a fully remote, Europe-time-zone team.

The role emphasizes Rust, AWS, and scalable, observable systems, with opportunities to shape the engineering direction and mentor others within a profitable, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Production-grade Rust experience building high-performance, concurrent systems.
• Hands-on experience in a systematic trading environment (HFT, market making, quantitative trading).
• Strong AWS and Linux expertise, including latency-sensitive workloads.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for strategy development and tooling.
• Deep familiarity with trading system protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket) and market data feeds.
• Solid grasp of low-latency networking: TCP/UDP, latency analysis, and kernel bypass techniques.
• Familiarity with agentic engineering tools and AI-first workflows.
• Ability to make sound architectural decisions and guide complex implementations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise low-latency, mission-critical trading systems.
• Own key trading stack components end-to-end — from architecture through to production operation.
• Collaborate closely with quants, traders, and engineers to deliver solutions that improve trading performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve trading infrastructure with a focus on performance, stability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across exchange connectivity, execution, and market data handling.
• Drive engineering standards through technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring.
• Embrace agentic engineering principles: leverage AI-assisted workflows and automation of operational tasks.
• Contribute to functional, component, and production-readiness testing for critical trading components.
