Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer with deep trading systems experience and strong AWS knowledge to join our Capital Markets division. You will design, build, and operate low-latency trading infrastructure, owning components end-to-end and collaborating with quants, traders, and engineers to push performance and reliability.

As part of a fully remote global team in European time zones, you will shape technical direction, drive continuous improvement, and mentor others while advancing

Qualifications

• Production-grade Rust experience building high-performance, concurrent systems.
• Hands-on experience in a systematic trading environment (HFT, Market Making, Quantitative Trading, or similar).
• Strong AWS and Linux expertise, including cloud infrastructure trade-offs for latency-sensitive workloads.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for strategy development and tooling.
• Familiarity with trading system protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket) and market data feeds.
• Knowledge of low-latency networking and kernel bypass concepts.
• Awareness of agentic engineering tools and AI-powered workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize low-latency, mission-critical trading systems.
• Own key trading stack components end-to-end—from architecture through production.
• Collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers to improve performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve trading infra focusing on performance, stability, observability.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across connectivity, execution, and data handling.
• Drive engineering standards via leadership, code reviews, and mentoring.
• Leverage AI-assisted workflows and automation to evolve tooling.
