Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Team Lead for Hardware Partner Engineering in Amsterdam. You will manage a small team of Partner Engineers and personally own day-to-day technical coverage with one OEM partner, while acting as the main technical interface for the group.

The role requires senior hands-on experience in embedded systems or hardware, proven people management, and a track record of driving operational improvements through tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on technical experience in software/systems engineering or embedded environments.
• Direct people management experience or readiness to step into a first management role.
• Experience diagnosing issues at systems/device level and collaborating with OEMs.
• Proven ability to drive operational improvement and implement scalable processes.
• Strong cross-functional communication across Product, Eng, Hardware teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach a small team of Hardware Partner Engineers for specific OEMs.
• Be Adyen's primary technical point of contact for assigned OEM partners.
• Drive internal alignment across Product, Eng, Hardware Integrity, and Commercial teams.
• Develop tooling, automation, and processes with OEM partners to scale quality efforts.
• Improve Adyen payment experiences on partner devices and proactive issue handling.
• Define team structure, ways of working, and escalation paths with OEM growth.
• Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with OEMs and conduct regular reviews.
