Job summary

Priva in De Lier, Netherlands, is seeking a Hardware Team Lead to coordinate day-to-day hardware team activities and ensure alignment with product goals. You will work closely with product management, project managers, and external partners to keep delivery on track.

The role emphasizes planning, risk management, and a structured, quality-driven approach to execution, with focus on reliable hardware solutions and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in hardware development or embedded product development.
• Experience coordinating engineering teams or leading multidisciplinary hardware development activities.
• Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles from concept to maintenance.
• Experience with project coordination, planning, prioritization, and risk management.
• Proven ability to implement or improve development processes and governance.
• Experience working with external development partners.
• Strong organizational skills and a structured, pragmatic execution approach.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary interface and first point of contact for internal teams and external partners into the Hardware team.
• Define, coordinate and manage internal and external communication paths and processes.
• Coordinate activities, priorities, and workload of the hardware team across projects.
• Translate business and project objectives into clear team plans and realistic timelines.
• Implement and maintain an effective risk management process.
• Establish a structured approach to requirements, verification, documentation, and change management.
• Define interfaces and collaboration models within the organization and with external partners.
• Help the team identify and remove blockers and manage dependencies.
