Job summary

Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South is seeking a Front Office Agent to welcome guests, manage reservations, and handle check-ins/check-outs efficiently. You will collaborate with Housekeeping to ensure smooth arrivals and provide guests with local information, contributing to memorable stays.

The position requires Front Office experience, English proficiency, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Front Office experience in hospitality settings required.
• OPERA Cloud knowledge is an advantage.
• EU national or NL residence with valid work permit for the Netherlands.
• Fluent English; Dutch not mandatory; available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing keys.
• Welcome guests and address service needs with a friendly, proactive approach.
• Process payments by room charges, cash, checks, or cards.
• Handle check-outs and resolve late or disputed charges.
• Answer calls, messages, and guest requests; log and respond promptly.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure room readiness for check-in.
• Provide directions and information about the property and local area.
• Run daily arrival/departure reports and note special requests.
• Complete cashiering and closing reports; balance and drop receipts per policy.

Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South has 227 suites and rooms and opened in April 2021. We want to appeal to both transient and longer-staying travellers visiting the Dutch capital. Each of the studio’s, one-bed and two-bed apartments has its own fully equipped kitchen. All rooms are suites with more living and working space than you would find in an any other hotel room. It is up to us to make the guests feel at home with our family of associates!

Keuken & Bar is full of local energy and international characters from breakfast through to lunch, and dinner. Relax and unwind with a great selection of beers, wines, and cocktails from the bar area. The restaurant offers a wide selection of seating areas ranging from more private tables next to the fireplace, or larger tables for groups of friends and colleagues. Our restaurant is designed for the entire family. Sports fans will appreciate the three large TVs, where they follow major sporting competitions. We are particularly well suited to family brunches and small parties.

What Are Your Responsibilities

• Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
• Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.
• Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
• Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.
• Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy.
• Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
