Job summary

Radisson Blu Hotel Amsterdam Airport is offering a Rooms Division Management Trainee internship. You’ll work across Front Office, Housekeeping and technical departments in a fast-paced airport hotel setting near Schiphol, gaining hands-on management exposure.

You will learn to handle peak moments, guest relations, and operational coordination while developing into a Rooms Division leader with support from management and alumni networks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a hotel/hospitality management program at HBO level or similar.
• Strong communication in English; other languages welcome.
• Flexible to work mornings/evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth guest journey across Front Office, Housekeeping and technical departments.
• Anticipate peak moments driven by flight schedules and delays.
• Act as first point of contact for guests and internal teams; handle incidents and emergencies.
• Engage with guests with warm, proactive service and tailored recommendations for Amsterdam.
• Lead by example in delivering memorable guest experiences and respond to feedback.
• Oversee Guest Relations and monitor reviews to ensure timely brand-aligned responses.
• Coordinate across departments to maintain standards and a seamless guest experience.
• Conduct quality checks in guest rooms, public areas, and facilities.
• Suggest improvements based on operational gaps and guest feedback.
• Participate in and lead projects supporting development into a Rooms Division leader.

Job Description

• Ensure a smooth and efficient guest journey across Front Office, Housekeeping, and technical department in a fast‑paced, high‑occupancy airport environment.
• Develop the ability to anticipate and respond to peak operational moments driven by flight schedules and delays, learning how to manage sudden demand surges and maintain service excellence in a highly dynamic environment.
• Act as the first point of contact for guests and internal departments, handling incidents, resolving complaints, and managing urgent operational situations with professionalism and confidence.
• Engage with guests in a warm, proactive, and solution‑oriented way, providing information, answering questions, and offering tailored recommendations for Amsterdam and its surroundings.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest experiences, actively listening to guest feedback and turning challenges into memorable service moments.
• Oversee Guest Relations activities, including monitoring and responding to feedback on platforms such as ReviewPro, ensuring timely, high‑quality, and brand‑aligned responses.
• Ensure operational standards are consistently met across all Rooms Division departments, with strong focus on service quality, cleanliness, efficiency, and brand standards.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication between Front Office, Housekeeping, Technical Department, and other operational departments to ensure seamless coordination and a consistent guest experience.
• Conduct regular quality checks in guest rooms, public areas, and meeting facilities to ensure safety, presentation, and compliance with brand standards.
• Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and making practical, guest‑focused recommendations to the Heads of Department.
• Participate in and lead operational projects that support your development into a well‑rounded Rooms Division leader in a high‑volume, international airport hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a hotel/hospitality management program on HBO-level or similar.
